You bet! Every Bounce House castle is:
- Commercial grade – built tough for serious fun
- Certified to AUS/NZ safety standards (BS EN 14960-1:2019)
- Independently tagged & tested each year
- Looked after by trained, certified operators (yes, we’re first aid certified too!)
So when the kids go wild, you can relax knowing the castles have the official tick of approval!
Ages usually come down to the size of the castle – the bigger the castle, the bigger the thrills. Every kid develops differently, so at the end of the day, it’s up to parents to decide what their tamariki are ready for. Here are a few tips:
- Small & simple: Our Angry Birds castle is compact with no slide. Slides might look riskier, but they actually help spread kids out – fewer bumps, fewer knocks.
- Water play: Water can make things slippery. Keep the water level low and make sure kids are supervised by an adult trained by Bounce House NZ. If a child isn’t confident in water, best they sit this one out.
- Big slides, big speed: Taller castles mean steeper, faster slides. We’ve had plenty of under-fives enjoy most of our castles, but the Tower of Terror is usually best left to the older or more confident ones.

RULES
Yes – absolutely! If the castle fits in your space, we can set it up. Just make sure there’s enough room for the height and a bit of bounce-around space.
Yes – no worries. We pop a tarp underneath to protect the castle, and instead of ground pegs we use big water weights to keep everything secure, even if the wind picks up.
Site Setup
- Measure first: Make sure there’s room for the castle, plus extra clearance for trees, power lines, or roof overhangs.
- Flat & clean: The site needs to be level and free of hazards – no sticks, rocks, pet mess, or grass clippings.
- On grass: Castles are secured with heavy-duty stakes and tie-downs. Leave enough space around the castle for these.
On hard surfaces: Concrete or turf courts are fine – we use water weights to keep the castle steady.
Power Options
Mains power: Standard 3-prong household outlet.
Generator: Perfect for parks or places without mains. Available to hire from Bounce House NZ.
- We encourage self service from our head quarters for no extra charge.
- Please note that the size and
weight of the castle often means this is a 2-3 person job! - Also, because of the size of the castles we require a ute, van or trailer.
- For $80 we can deliver and
collect the castle for you. - This service is limited to the
extent of the Waikato area shown on our area map. - Please get in contact with us
if you’d like us to deliver/pick-up a castle outside of our service area. - This service will need to be
booked in advance at the time of your castle reservation as we have limited staff available.

Pick-up and drop-off is available 9am – 6pm.
We don’t allow collections outside these hours – it gives us time to inspect, clean, and sanitise the castles so they’re fresh and safe for the next booking.
CONTACT US
Yes – we carry Public Liability Insurance up to $2 million. It’s there to give you peace of mind and to cover those “just in case” moments.
Need the paperwork? We’re happy to share our insurance certificate on request.
When Does Insurance Apply?
Our Public Liability Insurance covers us if something goes wrong because of our gear or something we damaged. For example, if a castle wasn’t secured properly and caused damage, that’s on us.
But if injuries happen because kids weren’t being supervised, or the rules weren’t being followed, that falls under your responsibility (and may be covered by your own insurance if needed).
The short version:
- Our insurance – covers the equipment and how we’ve set it up.
- Your supervision – covers how guests use the castle during the hire.
If the weather isn’t fun for play on the day, we will refund your money in full!
We understand that mother nature doesn't like to play all the time - that's not your fault, so we can book you again or catch you next time!
All other cancellations will require 2 day’s notice (48 hours) to allow us to re-list the inflatable for hire.
Any cancellations within this time will incur a $100 cancellation fee which will be deducted from your deposit.

We know parties don’t always go to plan – so here’s how refunds work with Bounce House NZ:
- Change of mind: If you need to cancel your booking more than 7 days before your event, we’ll refund your deposit in full.
- Less than 7 days’ notice: Your deposit is non-refundable, but we’re happy to move your booking to another date (subject to availability).
- Bad weather: If it’s too wet or windy for us to safely set up, we’ll work with you to reschedule or refund your payment. Safety always comes first.
- No-shows: If we arrive and the site isn’t suitable (unsafe ground, no access, etc.), we can’t offer a refund – but we’ll do everything we can to avoid that happening.
